The history of JOY THAI began in 1993 in Thailand, when its founder settled there and decided to start manufacturing made-to-order clothing, drawing on his expertise in this field. He opened an office in Bangkok and started his activity managing the complete renewal of employees' wardrobes for major brands.

The company soon opened an office in Bangladesh, followed by another in China, so as to be directly present on production sites and offer its customers a fast, efficient and expert service. As a result, JOY THAI quickly gained such a reputation that major international companies began to place their trust in the company.

In 2014, JOY THAI and SOLO INVEST joined forces to set up an office in Paris and to be even closer to French and European customers.

Since 2020, JOY THAI has permanently joined SOLO Group and deals with all manufacturing requests for custom-made garments and accessories. Customers come from all walks of life and all countries, JOY THAI's expertise and know-how are recognised by all.

 
 

The team, the heartbeat of the process

JOY THAI's strength lies in its organisation and its team. We rely on three guiding principles: proximity to partners, agility and responsiveness. Our only goal is to satisfy your creativity without limits.

In Paris: this is where the JOY THAI’s management and “client interface” are based. It is here that all requests are processed. The role of the Paris office is to receive requests, to refine with customers their expectations, to illustrate them the different possible solutions according to their budget and needs, and to interface with the offices and production sites in Asia.

It ensures compliance with specifications, quality, deadlines and budget.

The office in Bangkok looks after the execution of the bespoke production file until delivery.

In China and Bangladesh our offices are directly located at the production sites to ensure that each stage of the manufacturing process meets customers’ expectations.

That is our mission!
We know that if our customers call on us, it is because they are aware that manufacturing custom-made clothing and accessories is a very special task. And this is just as well since it is our job!

● A single point of contact for a personalised follow-up of requests.

To begin with, we guarantee our customers a single contact person who deals with their entire project. She/he is based in Paris, so that transactions take place in the same time zone (or almost) and in the language that best suits customers.

Her/his role is to understand the customers’ requests and to translate them in technical terms, to give them advice, to guide them and to suggest alternatives if necessary, depending on their deadline and budget. She/he is also responsible for coordinating the various offices in Asia so that the products delivered exactly correspond to the customers’ expectations.

● A clear code of ethics.

We guarantee our customers the respect for the information contained in their files. We never disclose their identity or what we do for them. We do not work with end customers, we only work with resellers, distributors, agencies or decorators.

● Processes suited to all kinds of requests.

Ensuring limitless custom-made production takes a good organisation, a good network and unquestionable expertise to be able to anticipate events, to avoid falling into traps and to guarantee products that are totally in line with the customer's expectations and deadlines.

The JOY THAI team has all these qualities. Moreover, it has implemented a number of processes that identify the crucial stages of the project, question them and approve them one by one

● A sourcing suited to the quantities and deadlines of each request.

In order to turn your project into reality, i.e. to be able to manufacture the desired model in the desired quantities and within the expected time frame, we have production sites all over the world that enable us to offer you the best solution.

Nevertheless, as with any industrial process, we are subject to technical constraints in terms of minimum order quantities (MOQs) and lead times. These quantities and lead times vary depending on the country of production and the delivery time. We are here to offer you the best solution.

 
 

Key steps to turn your project into reality

 
 

Usually, you want custom-made clothing or accessories to have a unique product, specific to your brand and that helps your company to stand out in the market. Manufacturing custom-made products is a job that requires skills in many fields: technique, creation, style, communication, negotiation and project management. Our teams will support you to turn your expectations into reality.

 
 
 
 

First step: specifications.

First, we will focus on the clear definition of specifications: we will study with you your expectations, your needs and your requirements (materials, decorations, customisations and deadlines). It is on the basis of these specifications that we will provide you with a complete quotation and, if necessary, with mock-ups or even samples.

 
 
 
 

Second step: confirmation of the technical file.

It starts after confirming the order. We will create the complete technical file of the product(s). This file will cover all the components of the product (material, thread, buttons, colours, decorations, style elements, etc.). It is only after the confirmation of the technical file that we will proceed to order the garment components. This stage ends with the manufacturing of the prototypes that will allow us to validate the product in real life.

 
 
 
 

Third step: conformity of the prototype and launch of the production.

This stage begins with the launch of the production based on the validation of the prototype(s). Throughout this stage, our teams ensure directly at the production sites that everything conforms to the approved prototype. This stage ends with a final quality control before shipping.

 
 
 
 

Fourth stage: packaging and shipping.

During this stage, the products are packaged according to the specifications and then shipped or prepared for collection, if the customer did not choose the shipping service.

 
 
 
 

Last stage...

It does not depend on us but on you: it is the use that you, your customers, your employees will make of the garments and accessories you have designed for them. This is the longest and most enjoyable stage!

When it comes to customising a garment, there are actually a multitude of possibilities that will allow you to put your brand in the spotlight and to make your product unique.

Two possible starting points and endless solutions...

Creation from A to Z:

You have never seen a product that matches up to what you are looking for, you have a very specific need and there is no garment that ticks all the boxes. For this creation from scratch, our team will identify all your specific needs, your desires and your ideas to bring you THE answer you are looking for. We will make sure that the materials, the cuts, the accessories, the decorations, etc. fit each other so that your garment keeps its technical features while being comfortable to wear and easy to care.

In this case, we will work on the creation of the design of your product (conception, assembly, style and measurements), the choice of materials, the variety of sizes, the colour creation, the manufacture of specific accessories, the decoration, etc. We will define everything together with you and we will provide you with numerous samples during the creation process of your unique model.

From an existing model:

You want a T-shirt, a pair of trousers, a jacket or any other garment but modified according to your needs.

We will start from the model you have chosen and we will refashion it to suit your needs and constraints. Many modifications are possible, the most frequently requested of which are described below (this list is not exhaustive, we have no limits, just ask us!).

We will never give up on our commitments. However, if you wish, for instance, to exclusively use recycled or organic materials, or that come from a short supply chain or with special certifications, or if you wish to use a particular packaging, our sourcing will allow us to certainly meet your expectations and our organisation will ensure your request is satisfied.
